Day 2: Night Stage

Every night at 7:30, after you'd eaten (for me, 2 full plates of food!), attention would turn to the stage, set up every night and torn down every morning by the stage crew.

The director of the ride would give a report of the day's news (miles ridden and injuries), and tomorow's plan (miles to ride and weather). Then someone from the SF or LA AIDS agencies would talk about AIDS or stories about what had happened among the riders that day. I always enjoyed this part of the day where I found out about this community of mine and got reminded again about why we were here.

Then came the entertainment and on this night, the obligatory lesbian with a guitar... quite decent, actually.
